Oldies But Goldies: Our Favourite Feel-Good Movies on Netflix

Anyone else struggling to separate work from play during this WFH season?

If you ask us, disconnecting in a time when virtual meetups have become the new norm has proven to be super difficult. We are creatures of habit after all!

Believe it or not, we’ve found that playing a good movie helps keep our stubborn hands away from our phones for a good two hours or so! So without further-ado, we’ve outlined some of our favourite “feel-good” movies to help you disconnect and put you in a good mood after a long day of work.

Just relax, unwind and watch one of these films this evening:

1. Valentine’s Day

Made with some of everyone’s favourite actors, this film is a thrill to watch. The plot follows several couples as they face struggles related to their love lives while others try their best to find love.

2. He’s Just Not That Into You

By far one of our favourites – we’ve watched this film over 100 times!

As four men and five women in Baltimore struggle to keep their love lives alive, each one of them experiences heartbreak and tries to deal with the complexities of relationships. This movie stars some of America’s most loved sweethearts – from Drew Barrymore to Scarlett Johansson and Jennifer Connelly – which makes it simply irresistible!

3. New Year’s Eve

A fast moving romantic comedy, this film depicts the lifestyles of people from different segments of society as they embark on a quest to find happiness on New Year’s Eve. Definitely worth the watch on a casual work-day evening!

4. Set It Up

While they were busy setting up their bosses destinies, they’ve been set up!

The plot follows two overworked and underpaid assistants who come up with a plan to get their bosses off their backs by setting them up with each other. If you’re looking to unwind with a lightweight, fun and romantic comedy – this film’s for you!

5. Crazy Stupid Love

If it’s got comedy and it’s got love, we’re sold!

This film follows a middle-aged man who is heartbroken when his wife asks for divorce and starts picking girls at a bar on insistence of his new-found friend, Jacob. If the plot hasn’t grabbed you yet – then we’re sure Ryan Gostling’s excellent performance will.
